Anti – Ragging Awareness Program Report
Anti – Ragging cell of Late Nitin College, Pathri had conducted the ‘Anti – Ragging Awareness Program’ on 13th September 2023.
The President of the program was Dr.R S Funne ( Principal, Late Nitin College, Pathri). The Chief guest of the program was Shri S N Thorve ( Sub – Inspector of Pathri Police station).
Mr. S N Thorve addressed the students about the origin and menace of ragging in India and also explained the legal consequences of involvement in such activities. He also reiterated that anyone who is actively, passively or is a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished. He also addressed that social media such as, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram makes students mentally and physically weak. If you are using these apps, be careful. For. ex.In the WhatsApp when you are marks delete everyone and you are deleting. But already it is saved. Again, he said the locking system of Facebook and WhatsApp. Make our Facebook locked with security pin. Which is never hacked. In this way, he has given many references of the media and said to be alert.
The Principal and Coordinator of Anti- Ragging Committee of the Institution also addressed the students and briefed them about the different strategies and action plan for curbing the menace of ragging in the college by adopting various measures and activities.
